M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the General Secretaries Training Seminar and addressed the General Secretaries.
Nizip Commodity Exchange General Secretary Mehmet Eray Ölçal also participated in the General Secretaries Training Seminar.
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the real owners of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges are the general secretaries and said, "Therefore, it is your duty to keep and protect these places in the best condition. We are a single family as the Chamber and Commodity Exchange community in 81 provinces and 160 districts. We are the only professional organization that represents companies and entrepreneurs from every segment and every sector of Türkiye."
Explaining that their strength comes from unity and being tightly interlocked, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "Our unity, our power and our effectiveness are our difference, that is, this community. It is our biggest feature that distinguishes us from other institutions and makes us stand out."
Pointing out that great power comes with great responsibility, TOBB President said, "We have to do justice to this power and responsibility entrusted to us. This is our legal and moral duty and responsibility. As a community, we do great things and services. You are the real people behind all of this. When you do successful things, we also become successful. Thus, the power and reputation of all of us increases."
Hisarcıklıoğlu said that, therefore, their duty is to prepare the general secretaries in the best possible way and equip them with the best information.
“?Bizim camiamiz Türkiye’nin en demokratik kurumudur” diyen Hisarcıklıoğlu söyle devam etti: “Dolayısıyla, seçimlerin demokratik kurallara uygun olarak, hakça yapılması açısından önemli bir sorumlulugunuz var. Kanuna, mevzuata ve kurallara uygun hareket etmek zorundasiniz. Her zaman objektif olun. Tek istegimiz, seçimlerin hak ve adalet içinde, kurallara uygun olarak gerçeklesmesi. Bu camianin degerini, gücünü, etkinligini ancak böyle koruruz. Hepimiz, çalistigimiz, emek verdigimiz bu kurumları, içinde çalismaktan gurur duydugumuz, herkese iftiharla söyleyebildigimiz bir seviyeye getirmeliyiz”.
Reminding that he was in the management of the Union of European Chambers, the Islamic TSO and the Asia-Pacific TSO, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the chamber/exchange system in Türkiye has become exemplary and the efforts of the general secretaries are great in this.
Stating that the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges have become project factories, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "They have started to benefit increasingly from national and international grant programs. You have provided both financial resources and know-how to your cities. In the last 20 years, more than 1,900 projects have been implemented by our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges. These have always been thanks to you. Continue this and always keep an eye on the projects."
Hisarcıklıoğlu asked the general secretaries to act as a bridge between the Chamber/Exchange Council and the Administration, to be advisors to their Presidents and Administrations, and to guide them.
TOBB President advised them not to deviate from justice, to stand by what is right, and to protect rights and law while doing this.
