Nizip Commodity Exchange (NTB) Chairman İbrahim Sarı and NTB Secretary General M. Eray Ölçal attended the Akdeniz ÜPAK 2nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held in Adana.
At the general assembly of Akdeniz ÜPAK, of which Nizip Commodity Exchange is among the founding partners, the company's activities, developments in the product markets and targets for the coming period were discussed. At the meeting attended by representatives of the joint stock exchange and institutions, efforts to carry out the trade of agricultural products in a more effective, reliable and transparent structure were evaluated.
While the financial and administrative activities of the company were discussed within the scope of the general assembly, the development of Electronic Product Receipt (ELÜS) markets, the expansion of the licensed warehousing system and the advantages provided to manufacturers were also brought to the agenda.
President İbrahim Sarı, who made evaluations at the general assembly meeting of the Mediterranean Product Market Intermediary Institution (Akdeniz ÜPAK), stated that it is essential to create the right market conditions for the producers to be rewarded for their efforts. Sarı said, "Strengthening product markets is of great importance for the future of the agricultural sector. The licensed warehousing system and product markets need to continue to be supported so that our producers can market their products safely and at value."
