Nizip Commodity Exchange (NTB) ordinary Assembly Meeting was attended by NTB Chairman of the Board of Directors İbrahim Sarı and Deputy Chairman of the Assembly. It was held under the chairmanship of Haşim Aslan with the participation of the council board members.
At the meeting; Global and regional economic developments, evaluations regarding the harvest season, the latest situation in the energy and logistics markets, current data on grain production and developments in the Gaziantep economy were discussed.
Making the opening speech of the meeting, Mayor Sarı wished producers a fruitful, profitable and trouble-free season in these days when the grain and peanut harvest has started. Sarı stated that the harvest period is of great importance not only in terms of agricultural production, but also in terms of food supply security and the country's economy, and wished for a fruitful and productive season in which the producers receive the reward of their labor.
Referring to the work carried out within the Mediterranean Product Market Intermediary Institution (Akdeniz ÜPAK), of which NTB is one of the founding partners, Mayor Sarı said that important studies are being carried out for the more effective functioning of the product markets, the development of the Electronic Product Receipt (ELÜS) market and the strengthening of the licensed warehousing system. Pointing out that Akdeniz ÜPAK is an important organization that contributes to a more reliable, transparent and effective structure of product trade, Sarı said that efforts are being continued with determination to enable producers, traders and investors to access product markets more easily and safely.”
During the continuation of the meeting, while council members evaluated the agenda items, opinions, suggestions and expectations for the sectors were mutually consulted.
