~~KOBİGEL - The purpose of the SME Development Support Program; In line with the country's national and international goals, it is to support the projects to be prepared by small and medium-sized enterprises in order to increase their share and effectiveness in the economy, and to increase the competitiveness of SMEs and the added value they provide.
The manufacturing industry sector has a critical importance in the economies of developing countries. In Türkiye, the weight of the manufacturing industry in total employment, added value and exports is clearly evident. The manufacturing industry sector has been the main driving force in Türkiye's recent economic growth and export increase. Strengthening the manufacturing industry sector and increasing its competitiveness is necessary for Türkiye's sustainable growth.
Value-added and high-tech sectors play a leading role in changing the production and foreign trade structure of the Turkish economy. There is a need to support the investment, design and skill development activities of SMEs in this process. With the project proposal call, which includes the themes of increasing the level of digitalization in manufacturing in the process of preparation for the 4th industrial revolution, increasing the share of medium-high and high-tech products in production and exports, transition to a value-added and export-oriented production structure, improving the engineering and design skills of micro-scale manufacturing enterprises and ensuring their scale-up, energy efficiency, green production and IT infrastructure improvement; In order to support SMEs that will be actors of structural transformation in the manufacturing industry, a call for proposals for a project titled "INCREASING THE SHARE OF HIGH TECHNOLOGY LEVEL, VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS AND SMES IN PRODUCTION AND EXPORT" has been published.
