Our farmer, who grew the first crop of red-shelled pistachios of the year in Nizip, was rewarded by Nizip Commodity Exchange.
Pistachios grown by Ahmet Naim, a farmer in the Sarikoç rural neighborhood of Nizip district, were recorded as the first product of the season.
An award ceremony was held at Nizip Commodity Exchange for the first pistachios of 2020, which matured approximately 40 years before the harvest season and gained their natural color and taste.

Congratulating our farmer who brought the first red pistachios of the year at the award ceremony, President Sarı continued his words by wishing that the 2020 season will be fruitful and profitable for all producers; "Pistachios, which are one of the most important sources of income in our district, are among the indispensable parts of the food industry today. Pistachios grown in our region have a special importance because the pistachios grown in our district are more tender than the pistachios grown in other regions. They are always preferred by the consumer. Pistachios also constitute a source of income for tens of thousands of people in our district.
Many of our people take bread home from this source. Buying and selling peanuts at their value has economic importance for our district. For this reason, we see the first pistachio of the year plucked from its branch as the herald of a fruitful season. As Nizip Commodity Exchange, we are always ready to do our part to ensure that pistachios, the biggest source of income of our district, receive the value they deserve. "I wish all our farmers safe and secure harvests," he said.
